“We design to enthral, enrapture and calm – all at once!” – Bhavik Thakkar
The Narrative: A Vision to Thrive
Designing a residential project is an all-encompassing exercise in capturing the facets of human life. It all starts with a vision: to achieve the most profound version of a “Home” for our clients – one that is uniquely suited to their needs and is a just reflection of their dreams. We respect and understand the gravity of building a new home; it is one of the greatest joys for a family, and our process is meticulously attuned to this reality.
Our Approach: Form Follows Family, Climate & Context
Programmatically formulated by family values, culture, and way of life, this experientially rich four storeyed residence is a radical take on Contextual Modernism. Learning from the vernacular architecture of the region, the residences enjoys contemporary renditions of shading devises and “filtered light lenses”.
Anchored by a central courtyard, this residence is blessed with natural light that is bountiful and is facilitated with cross ventilation. This climatic intelligence significantly reduces dependence on mechanical devices, even with the challenge of a zero lot line towards South West.
Materiality and Volumes: Tactile Modern Maximalism
Home of Boundless Delight exemplifies stunning material definition that brings out the tactility of natural materials. With a majority of the materials being regionally sourced, the overall aesthetic celebrates bold modern maximalism that is uniquely Indian. Free flowing spaces intertwine with a deliberate play in volumes, enhancing the sense of scale and discovery throughout the home.
The character of the home is forged by a pinkish-beige exposed brick exterior, punctuated by a zinc-clad cantilevered volume carried by mushroom capped columns. The result is a residence that enraptures and enthrals – all at once.
