The Raymond Shop, located in Alkapuri, the Central Business Hub of Vadodara, is known for its indomitable presence in textile retail. With the ever-growing business, the space demanded an extension, creating an avenue for a new office space for the client and their team. 

The solution: A lightweight infill development in Light Gauge Steel Frame Structure, that maximizes the utilization of every inch of the limited footprint, without inflicting harm on the existing structure.

The architects at Habitat Collaborative provided end-to-end solutions for the office space with great care undertaken from the design and planning stage to execution. Designed as a contemporary and forward-looking office, the space prioritizes experientiality, user’s comfort and intent to excel. Natural light plays a key role in orchestrating the flow and openness of the space, ensured through carefully oriented fenestrations towards North and West.

The office space comprises of workspaces, meeting room, cabin and lounge area in an open-plan layout that encourages transparency, and organic development of ideas sharing and collaboration. The exposed LGSF trusses celebrate the glory of raw industrial character in consonance with clean modern minimalism. Fluid profile lights flow throughout this ceiling, forming a continuous rhythm. Minutest details including bespoke furniture in warm and natural palette, subtle brass accents, sensitively designed tactile surfaces, futuristic switches altogether add to the enlivened creation of a workspace that subtly defies the rigid perception of liminal office spaces, adding scale and life to every niche and corner. The result is a sophisticated blend of natural warmth and modernity in an office space that fosters productivity and excellence, continuing the legacy of the established business through a seamless integration of brand identity, space and design.
