Ahmedabad House: A Study in Experiential Living

Designed as a primary residence for a family of four, this project redefines the traditional home through a series of sensory-driven transitions. The journey begins with a “celebratory pathway” suspended over a tranquil lily pond, leading to a landscaped internal courtyard. This central void acts as a vital architectural lung and a visual threshold, elegantly partitioning the home’s public entertaining zones from its private sanctuaries.

While the architecture maintains a sophisticated composure, the heart of the home is dedicated to the next generation. We prioritized aspirational environments for the children, moving beyond standard bedrooms to create a double-height integrated play and study loft. This spirit of playfulness culminates in a bold, literal splash: a custom slide that descends from the children’s private balcony directly into the swimming pool below.
